Applying our HU-NR and OJG to tomato plants

Humate USA Inc –  3/08/2023

Humic acid is a natural substance that is derived from the decomposition of plant and animal matter. It contains a range of organic compounds that are beneficial for plant growth and development. When used in conjunction with organic NPK (nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium), it can improve soil health and nutrient availability, leading to healthier and more productive tomato plants. Here are some details on how to apply humic acid and organic NPK to tomato plants per season:

Spring: Before planting, apply our granular fertilizer HU-NR which contains organic NPK, to the soil. This will provide a slow-release source of nutrients that will be available to the tomato plants throughout the growing season. You can mix in HU-NR granules at a rate of 200 kg per hectare.

Due to the naturally sustainable ability of our HU-NR fertilizer, our application rate will reduce over time. Example:

Summer: Once the tomato plants have been established, you can apply a liquid fertilizer, Organic Juice Growth (OJG), containing fast-acting humic acid and organic NPK. This can be applied every 2-3 weeks throughout the summer to provide a consistent source of nutrients. Each season you need about 12 to 24 Liters per hectare.

Dilute the OJG concentrated to a 1:300 ratio and apply directly to the soil around the base of the plants.

Fall: As the tomato plants begin to mature and produce fruit, it is important to continue providing them with adequate nutrients. You can apply a last push of OJG. This will help to ensure that the plants have the nutrients they need to produce healthy, flavorful tomatoes.

To prevent bugs and pests, it may be good to use our AOP (Advanced Organic Protector) to protect the tomato. This AOP is 100% organic, has no toxins in AOP, and is washable with water.

It is important to follow the fertilizer packaging instructions and apply the recommended amounts of humic acid and organic NPK. Over-fertilizing can lead to nutrient burn or other issues, so be sure to use these products in moderation. Additionally, be sure to water your tomato plants regularly and provide them with adequate sunlight and air circulation to promote healthy growth.

Last but not least, soil testing and soil balancing are the keys to successful growth. Please get in touch with our representative for more info and details.
